Dive into Dublin

Even better, students get discounted tickets with valid student ID. If whiskey is more your thing there’s also the Old Jameson Distillery where you’ll learn all about Irish whiskey and can have a cheeky taster.

Being in Dublin, you won't need to go far to find a pub. Looking for a traditional pub? Doyle’s is popular with students but also has a good mix of people with locals and tourists, and if you’re hungry they do a great bangers and mash!

There’s the infamous Temple Bar area, and whilst it may not be the cheapest option, it’s always bustling with people, and bursting with culture. You’ll find lots of bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs.

There’s also plenty of bars and pubs around other areas of the town such as Cassidy’s Bar, where you can feel nostalgic playing board games in a trendy setting. At Four Dame Lane, you can find a good range of drinks with club nights on Friday and Saturday nights. P.Mac’s is another popular choice among students, with a large beer and whiskey selection, good music and free crisps!

Dicey’s Garden is a popular club with students and isn’t too pricey, just up the road diceysfrom there you’ll also find Dtwo which has club nights from Wednesday to Sunday. For less commercial music, there’s The Grand Social where you’ll find live music and club nights playing techno to hip-hop. If you fancy an alternative night, The Workman’s Club has something different on every night as well as regular gigs.

If live music is your thing, you’re sure to find something to suit you at the Button Factory, as well as the Academy and Wigwam, which hosts a range of great acts. Whelans has regular gigs as well as a silent disco 3 nights a week with free entry! You’ll also find comedy nights on Mondays with €5 entry.
